The study County Health Rankings is from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. It shows raw numbers and rankings of health factors (“what influences the health of a county,” “health behaviors, access to and quality of clinical care, social and economic factors, and the physical environment”) and health outcomes (“how healthy a county is,” “length and quality of life”).
The goal is to begin a dialog and hopefully cause change to address disparities within each state. I see no way to download the raw data. Further, reader Kirk, noted the site was slow when he accessed it. I didn’t notice any lag, but perhaps he hit it as many journalists were writing their articles for local papers such as this one in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
