Up in Toronto The Star reports on errors of ommission along with typos on new maps for that city’s rapid transit. Officials respond that the maps are unacceptable and will be redone. The blame goes to no single person overseeing the effort.
In Boston, a two-year $500,000 systemwide effort to update its maps began yesterday. The Globe reports one new map as “quirky” because one bus route listed will not begin running until next month and the Silver Line is depicted as a subway when it’s really just a bus with a dedicated tunnel in places. (Neither are a big deal to me; I hope the choices are cost saving, though.)
