The poll’s only half complete at this point, but a whopping percentage of readers, 74% 0f 304 respondents, do, or are most likely to provide map updates to OpenStreetMap over other possible recipients. A new report from the Congressional Research Service suggests Congress should further evaluate if the Homeland Security Department’s plan to use domestic spy satellites for counterterrorism and law enforcement. The question is if the plan is worth “the cost and the risks to privacy.”

The awards are for the “top 10 female leaders in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.” Nine of the honorees are individual women associated with public and private organizations and education, but ESRI is listed as just ESRI, with no single individual noted. There are many talented women at ESRI; I had the privilege of working for and with a number of them.
