Some nice screenshots of the Harvard Coop grace the article which explores the view buildings "inside and out" offering.
Mike Liebhold taps directly into what makes this special:
Everybody has got these street views from the outside. But the idea of interior views is terrific, because Google, Microsoft and Yahoo don’t have that yet.

UpNext
Says Erick Shonfield at TechCrunch:
In reality, though, UpNext is a technology demo waiting to be picked up by a larger company building out a global mapping platform. It cannot survive as a standalone company given the competition. Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft should buy these guys and blow out these maps worldwide.

Steve Garth of Oracle reports these activities from Oracle Open World, Nov. 12-15:
"Much of the interest from existing and prospective customers and partners was due to the ability of Oracle Spatial and Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer to easily map-enable business applications in using Web services in Oracle's SOA environment. Visitors were also intrigued with Oracle Spatial 11g's 3D support...we had a demo in which Oracle Spatial 11g 3D data of a proposed cityscape (provided courtesy of TeleAtlas) was pushed out as KML and presented on a Google Earth background. GE Energy gave demonstrations previewing elements of the new Oracle-based Office suite (electric version) being developed, which sparked interest from many attendees."
