Quebec politicians have decided to make satnav devices legal; until now they were considered a distraction. Interesting, one group pushing for legalization was cabbies/cab companies who argued riders would get faster service and better routes.

But, cab brethren in NYC are protesting legislation that would require GPS by October 1 in every yellow cab. They are ready to “strike at any moment.”
