So far as I recall, I’ve not listened to AM radio since WRKO was the station of choice for 6th graders in Boston (back in ‘76). But today, it came to my rescue. The Penn State Nittany Lions are playing in the Outback Bowl which doesn’t have the clout to make broadcast TV. It’s on ESPN and I’m cableless. But, to my great glee, ESPN offers ESPN radio nationally via AM station affiliates. So, here I sit listening to 890 AM in Boston enjoying the game between State and Tennessee.
