Quickbooks and Google Maps
A review of the new Quickbooks points out a new feature:
QuickBooks Pro special new features include a Google Marketing Tool to help small business advertise and grow. Now a small business can be added to Google Map for free. Not only does this provide an air of sophistication, it is a feature that even small businesses without a website can use.
For those who don't know, you don't need QuickBooks to add your business to Google Maps. Anyone can do it for free.
Update: GeoEye Retasking Satellite for Kim Search
Update 12/7: James Kim's body was found Wednesday. His father, Spencer Kim is chairman of an aerospace corporation in Southern California. He made the call to GeoEye to find James Kim; it was a hired helicopter that found the family after seeing Kim's wife waving and umbrella with "SOS" on it.
C|net editor James Kim's family was found in the wilds of Oregon, but he is still missing. So, GeoEye is going to retask its bird to look for him, per c|net. GeoEye's Mark Bender states "We're doing it because it's the right thing to do."
